The Outpost lies in the Northernmost part of Kruger National Park. The Makuleke Region is the most remote part of Kruger, bordered by Zimbabwe to the North and Mozambique to the East. Being up in this area allows you to truly appreciate the scale of this seven and a half thousand square mile park.
The Outpost is set halfway up a hill, overlooking the Luvuvhu River. The view from the lodge and the 12 standalone en-suite rooms is simply breathtaking.
This private reserve shares a common, unfenced border with the Kruger park. This private reserve is all about game viewing and here there is a good chance of spotting the Big 5. 40 mammal species and 350 bird species have been identified within the area and it said to have the densest giraffe population in the world.
